KidsCare help & support · Hosted on the developer’s Euthymo website.
The short version: KidsCare stores your family profiles and care records on your device. We do not operate a KidsCare account or cloud-sync server. If you enable Kiki AI, your questions and recent messages from the selected conversation go directly to OpenRouter and its model provider. Optional personalization also sends display names and calculated child age. Stored care records are not automatically attached.
KidsCare is developed by bijbrin (“we”). It is intended for parents and caregivers. This policy is specific to KidsCare; the separate Euthymo privacy policy describes the Euthymo journal app.
1. Family data on your device
KidsCare stores the information you enter, including caregiver and child profiles, names, dates of birth, care logs, measurements, health notes, appointments, saved content, preferences and optional chat history. It uses these records locally to show your chosen child’s information and organize care. The app does not include advertising, analytics, payment or tracking SDKs, and we do not sell your family records.
The care-data directory uses iOS file protection and is marked as excluded from device backups. A local previous-state copy helps with recovery. This is not cloud synchronization or a guarantee against every device-level backup mechanism.
Family-member entries are local labels, not access permissions or shared accounts. Anyone using the unlocked app can see or change its local information. KidsCare currently has no separate biometric app lock or per-person authorization.
2. Optional Kiki AI
The local tracker and bundled content work without AI. Kiki contacts OpenRouter only after you explicitly enable AI conversation. OpenRouter routes the request to a model provider. These are external services even though KidsCare has no application backend.
- Each request includes your question, the selected guide’s instructions and a bounded tail of the selected conversation.
- Sending a follow-up in a reopened saved conversation includes recent messages from that thread. Starting a new conversation does not attach other threads.
- With profile personalization enabled, your display name, the selected child’s display name and calculated child age are included. Turning it off omits these automatic profile fields from subsequent requests.
- Birthdates, allergies, care logs, measurements, appointments and other family profiles are not automatically attached. Anything you type into a message, including personal information, is sent as message content.
OpenRouter and its routed providers process requests under their own policies and settings. We cannot promise that every provider has no processing or retention, or erase information they have already processed by deleting a local chat. Please avoid unnecessary identifying or sensitive details. Kiki provides general information and is not a diagnosis, prescription or substitute for care from a qualified clinician.
3. Chat history & your choices
You can turn AI conversation off, turn profile personalization off, stop a reply, choose whether to save new chat history, and delete saved chats in the app’s AI privacy controls. Disabling AI cancels an active reply. Disabling personalization does not remove personal information you already typed into messages.
Readable saved conversations expire after 30 days. Reopening a saved chat displays it locally; merely viewing it does not send a request. Turning off Save chat history stops new persistence but does not delete existing saved conversations. Use Delete all chats to remove them. Unreadable preserved recovery files can remain until you delete chats or remove the recovery copies in Privacy & data.
4. Exports, restore & deletion
An export is a readable JSON file containing your local data. The iOS share sheet lets you choose its destination. Anyone with a shared copy can read it. Prepared temporary exports are removed when you leave the export screen or delete local data. Files left after an abnormal termination are eligible for cleanup after 24 hours during the next startup, foreground cleanup or export preparation; failed cleanup offers a retry.
You can preview and restore a user-selected KidsCare JSON backup of up to 16 MB. After validation and confirmation, restore replaces current local profiles and records and preserves the previous care files as protected recovery copies. Chats older than 30 days are excluded from the restored history. Recovery copies can contain older private information and remain until explicitly deleted.
Use Privacy & data to export, restore, delete preserved recovery copies, or delete all local data. Full deletion includes the app’s companion backup, recovery files and prepared temporary exports, and resets AI consent. It cannot delete copies you previously saved or shared outside the app, or recall requests processed by OpenRouter or a model provider. We cannot retrieve records stored only on your device on your behalf.
5. Beta services & children’s information
This beta uses local demo sign-in; it does not create an online account or save passwords entered into that flow. Doctor listings and video calls are demonstrations. Booking creates a local calendar entry without contacting a clinic. Family entries do not send invitations or synchronize records. Notification preferences are local and do not schedule system notification delivery. There are no live purchases, subscriptions or token charges in this beta.
KidsCare is for adults organizing care, rather than a service for children to submit information themselves. Caregivers choose what child information to enter and whether to use optional AI. If a child has sent us information through support, contact us so we can address it. Apple separately handles TestFlight invitations, beta feedback and diagnostics under Apple’s privacy policy. Please use synthetic family details during beta testing.
6. Website visits & support
These pages have no advertising pixels, analytics scripts, tracking cookies or embedded AI chat. Fonts are served with the site. The hosting provider and network infrastructure process ordinary request information, such as IP address, requested URL and browser details, to deliver and protect the website. See Hostinger’s privacy policy. Website visits do not give us access to your KidsCare records.
If you email bijbrin@gmail.com, we receive your email address, message and any attachments through Gmail, subject to Google’s privacy policy. We use them to respond and investigate the issue. Send only what is needed; do not send a full family backup or identifying medical information for an ordinary support question. Correspondence is kept for necessary support follow-up or legal obligations and deleted when no longer needed.
7. Changes & contact
We will update this policy and its effective date if KidsCare’s data practices change. Future cloud services, sharing or paid AI features will need updated disclosures before they are enabled. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or request deletion of information held by us, or raise a concern with a privacy regulator. Contact us about those requests; on-device records are managed directly in the app.
